A facility management company transitioned from WordPress to Webflow, alleviating maintenance burdens and enhancing site navigation and SEO.
I just completed an redesign project that goes to show why the right website platform choice can greatly improve the way a business operates.
The Challenge
My client, a facility management (FM) company serving London and the South East, was drowning in WordPress maintenance headaches. Despite having development skills, like my client, busy business owners often underestimate the time required for maintenance tasks such as updating plugins, themes, and WordPress core, monitoring security, and troubleshooting issues. Every hour spent on these tasks is time not spent on core business activities.
They also knew their website wasn't helping them stand out in the competitive FM market, but felt trapped by their platform limitations. The solution required more than just a platform switch. It needed a complete strategic rethink,
The Solution
We migrated them to Webflow and redesigned from scratch. Two key areas demanded immediate attention, starting with navigation.

Strategic Navigation Redesign
Instead of burying their services in generic menus, we put them front and centre. The new navigation hierarchy prioritises what matters most: Services first, then recent Projects to build trust.
The links were kept deliberately short, two words max, and were front-loaded with the most important word to give context as quick as possible.
We followed the Projects links with a results-focused About page (no office dog profiles or coffee preferences here —just how they solve customer problems).
With navigation sorted, we turned to the invisible architecture that drives organic growth.
